SCEWC 2024: 5-7 November 2024
The CC4DR is pleased to be part of the Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC), the Smart Cities yearly event taking place in Barcelona. In 2024, the SCEWC will last from 5 to 7 November 2024.
Following the General Assembly in Maceio during the event “Connected People Integrated Cities”, 5-6 September, this CC4DR annual meeting will focus on taking collaboration to the next level by encouraging its members to get involved in the Coalition’s activities. It will be the opportunity for members to learn about the different possibilities of being involved in one or several mission projects. In a roundtable layout, cities will engage in small-group discussions with the leading cities of the CC4DR’s six missions. They will decide on concrete next steps regarding their involvement in the Coalition. Then, to prepare the IDRD of the Coalition, time will be dedicated to coordinating the activities, motivating and giving tools for cities to get involved in the campaign to fostering digital rights. This internal meeting is by invitation only. It will gather representatives of the CC4DR's members who will work together to push the Coalition's activity further.

The CC4DR will also host two other sessions at the SCEWC:
"Digital Rights in our cities from challenges to solutions" - Tuesday 5 November 17:30-18:30. The session will showcase our members' best practices to uphold digital human rights! Find more information here
"Digital rights in Europe: where at we at and where shall we go?" - Wednesday 6 November 9:30 - 10:15. The session will focus on raising awareness on digital human rights and raising the topic at EU level! Find more information here
