Privacy Policy

This website is operated by Barcelona City Council, on behalf of the entities member of the City Coalition for Digital Rights.

By filling in and sending online forms on our website, or otherwise contacting us, we collect your name, city, and professional email and phone numbers in order to contact and engage with you for the purpose of promoting the City Coalition for Digital Rights and its purposes set out in this website. Your data is processed under the responsibility of the cities indicated below for the duration of the Coalition, and except as stated will not be shared with third parties without your further consent. If you join our mailing list of city managers in charge of digital rights projects, your email will be visible by members of the list and you may be contacted by list members. The legal basis for such processing is your consent, as well as the Coalition members’ interest to contact you and share projects relating to digital rights in Cities. By filling in and sending online forms on our website or otherwise contacting us, you consent to this processing.

The initial Data Controller is Barcelona City Council, and your data is shared with the other two founder Cities: City of Amsterdam and New York City. We also share your data with three entities that are backing this initiative, for managing contacts with you to join the Coalition and sharing experience and knowledge in this area:

Each entity is separately responsible for its processing of your data shared with them, however they will only use the data for the purpose and period set out above. Please note that as New York City and UN Habitat are outside the European Economic Space, your data may be processed in a territory that does not provide the equivalent guarantees to the European legal framework on the processing of personal data. Each entity’s address, contact, and commitment to protecting your privacy is indicated at the URL addresses linked to their name, including also the supervisory authorities to which each controller is subject.

You have the rights to access, rectify, restrict, oppose, limit and/or erase in whole or part our processing of this data, and to exercise these rights, please contact us first on endorse@citiesfordigitalrights.org, but you may also contact the persons/email addresses indicated in the links set out for each City or entity with respect to that City/entity.
