Every last Thursday of the month, the CC4DR hosts a webinar for its member cities to present their ongoing work, engage in discussions and exchange best practices on topics related to Digital Rights.

7th October: Toronto’s Digital Infrastructure Plan – 16:00-17:00 CET

The City of Toronto (Canada) is seeking feedback on their draft Digital Infrastructure Plan (DIP). The DIP is intended to provide direction on how issues such as online privacy, security, data management, transparency, ethics, digital rights, climate change and digital autonomy will be integrated into decisions about digital infrastructure. The DIP is founded on the following six principles:

  1. Equity and Inclusion
  2. Well-run city
  3. Social, Environmental and Economic Benefits
  4. Privacy and Security
  5. Democracy and Transparency; and
  6. Digital Autonomy

As part of a people-centered approach to developing the DIP, City of Toronto staff are seeking feedback from CC4DR members. Please join us for workshop on October 7, where you will be provided with an overview of the DIP, and the public engagement process that is being used to develop it.
