Every last Thursday of the month, the CC4DR hosts deep-dive webinars to disseminate city members’ ongoing work. This knowledge sharing space is your place if you are looking for inspiration from other cities, want to learn more on how others approach digital rights challenges or want to share progress on how you are doing it!
The deep dives are the place where we truly make a community of cities that work for a rights-based digitalisation. Do not miss this one, and reach out to pboet@bcn.cat if you would like to host a session!
28th April 2022 – 16:00-17:00 CET – Brussels’ Citizen Participation Platform
After the go-live of a first citizen participation platform in 2017, the participation unit of the City of Brussels launched a new platform in 2021, which is open-source (based on Decidim) and provided by a federal public agency. This interactive platform aims to create and reinforce new relationships between the City, its inhabitants and its users, based on specific modules and processes.
In this webinar, the leads of the participation unit of Brussels will give a high-level overview of the platform’s functionalities, present the challenges that the city faces in its citizen participation initiatives and exchange ideas and experience with the CC4DR community on some open questions about the platform’s accessibility, the use of personal data, impact measurement and the use of private vs public tools, among others.
