Three concurrent efforts are ongoing; Privacy Working Group (senior internal City staff), Privacy Advisory Board (external privacy experts), and Community Engagement (series of recurring workshops/events to engage community leaders and the general public. All three concurrent efforts are formulating Citywide privacy principles that will be vetted, amended accordingly, and approved by all three efforts.

The privacy principles will then serve as a point of departure and reference for the development of policy, specifically for smart city use cases in 2019.
