Barcelona City Council, together with Xnet and Barcelona Citizen's Group for Digital Rights and within the framework of the Cities Coalition for Digital Rights, have mapped citizen initiatives that work for the promotion of digital rights in the city. This map of the city's ecosystem is the result of an open call, and a total of 46 initiatives have been mapped.
With this map, Barcelona aims to increase the general public’s knowledge of the new digital reality and to ensure the citizen ecosystem drives technological and social change and guides Barcelona's participation in the Cities Coalition for Digital Rights. Giving greater visibility to everything city residents are doing to defend and promote digital rights is key in ensuring participation and fostering a model of technological development that leaves no one behind.
